I've done a fair amount of yacht cruising, and I had been shown around the Sail Training Association schooner Malcom Miller; so when Gordon, an old Scots climbing friend, suggested I join him for ten days on the Millers sister ship, Sir Winston Churchill, cruising round the Canaries in Feb, I jumped at the chance.
